Minecraft structures are generated landmarks such as villages, strongholds, trial chambers, ancient cities, ocean monuments and Nether fortresses. Their possible locations depend on the dimension, biome, world seed and game version.

This tool is for quickly finding the correct Java Edition structure ID and copying a command. It does not predict coordinates from a seed; Minecraft searches the loaded world data and returns the nearest matching structure.

Version selection matters because Java 1.19 introduced the modern /locate structure form. Earlier supported releases use legacy structure names, and several biome variants point to the same broader target.

How to use the tool

How do I find a structure in Minecraft?

Why does my /locate structure command not work?

The command syntax changed in Java 1.19. Select your exact version in this tool; older releases use /locate followed by a legacy structure name instead of /locate structure minecraft:id.

Does /locate work without cheats?

No. In a single-player world you normally need cheats enabled. On a multiplayer server, you need permission to run the locate command.

Does this tool support Bedrock Edition?

The generated commands and version history on this page target Java Edition. Bedrock has a different set of accepted structure names, so do not assume every Java identifier works there.

Can I find structures from a world seed instead?

Yes. Use the Seed Map when you want to preview possible coordinates from a seed. This page is faster when you are already in the game and only need a correct locate command.

Why do several old-version cards copy the same command?

Before the modern structure registry syntax, related variants such as village types, ocean ruins and ruined portals used one broader legacy locate target.
